Hot Chicks: Backyard Chicken Keeping Is Catching On, Legal or Not - washingtonpost.com
OMG. I kind of want chickens. Really, I do. Even if I don’t eat meat and try to avoid animal products 2/3rds of the day. How awesome would backyard chickens be?! NPR had a story on how backyard chickens WEREN’T illegal a month or so ago, but this story says they aren’t allowed in DC… I wonder which is right.
“‘Chickens are America’s cool new pet,’ said Dave Belanger, publisher of the magazine Backyard Poultry.” Awesome. But I bet I’d lose my roommate…
